Press Release Summary: Intelligent Building Company establishes US base in California to capitalise on increasing demand for integrated building management solutions

Press Release Body: London, 31st July 2008: CDC, the intelligent buildings experts, has taken the next step in its international expansion plan with the opening of offices in the United States. The new US base, which is located in Portola Valley, California, has been set up to meet the growing demand for easy to use, cost effective technology that enables intelligent green buildings. Through its Integra Intelligent Building Framework solution, CDC can take advantage of this growth and deliver a complete integrated building management system.

Dennis Starkovich will be responsible for leading CDC\'s expansion into the USA, aiming to establish its Integra solution as the default choice for a comprehensive, state-of-the art intelligent building enabler. Dennis has over 25 years experience in the US real estate and construction industry, consulting and advising senior high end US businesses on smart ways of delivering buildings. Existing buildings and systems, rather than new-builds, form the mainstay of this market, and Dennis will use his knowledge to advise US companies on how to get the most from their legacy systems by integrating them using the power of CDC\'s Integra software platform.

Dennis will head up a campaign to recruit partners who will act as value added resellers for the Integra software. These partners will benefit from the addition of the technologically advanced Framework solution to their portfolio. Interested parties can contact CDC for more information on how to become a partner.

The move state-side follows CDC\'s recent expansion into the Middle East earlier this year with the opening of offices in Dubai.

\"The demand for intelligent buildings is increasing the world over as prospective buyers and tenants continue to understand the cost and management benefits that an integrated approach can bring,\" explained Mike Williams, Managing Director and Founder of CDC. \"By having an office in North America together with Dennis who understands the marketplace and the key benefits of Integra, we can continue to build on our reputation as a leading provider of open intelligent building software solutions.\"

The Integra Intelligent Building Framework was created by CDC and is the first ever IP-enabled integrated building management system, helping organizations to realize the full potential of IP convergence to control, monitor and optimize the built environment.

Integra provides an out-of-the-box software interface between building systems and the IP infrastructure. The Integra interface uses IP as the common translator between the many different disparate building systems, acting as the aggregator of information in a common normalized open format. As a result, Integra facilitates easy management and monitoring of single or multiple building services, in real-time via a single, easy to use enterprise management application. It provides comprehensive audit trails and also supports the management of maintenance contractor performance.
